October 24th - Bonnet Workshop in Milwaukee

It's been a long time since I've posted an update. This is far from an update, but it's something.

I spent the day in Milwaukee helping with a Civil War Bonnet Workshop. Had a great time. Hope everyone else did too. Will post more later.

Short update: The Relay for Life

Friday night through Saturday morning I spent in Stoughton, WI at the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. I had a wonderful time, walked from 7:30pm to 12am and 3am to 5:15am (until my ankle gave out - it still hurts), estimated miles walked 18. The event raised over $103,000.

January.... Finally

The holidays are over! They went by WAY too fast. I was way too busy trying to get stuff done (sewing for work & home) that I didn't have time to update this.

I've finally finished three scrub tops for my mom, one of which was her Christmas present from last year. The first two were made from Simplicity 5443 (I added the bottom pockets at my mom's request.) The last one is from Simplicity 5101, I added the breast pocket from Simplicity 5443. Hope you like them Mom!

I've finally finish my Civil War work dress that I've been working on for almost two years. All it was missing was the hook & eyes and the buttons on the sleeves.

Well, time to get back to the sewing machine. I've got lots of projects waiting. Later....
